My name is Ethan White, and I am a contemporary photographer who finds the essence of my work in the flawed beauty of human memory.

I have always been fascinated by time and its binding influence on humanity. Studying how time defines our memory in such a peculiar and romantic way is a central theme in my work: capturing moments that feel personal, transitional, and distant. I often draw inspiration from existentialist philosophy. Authors like Dostoevsky, Nietzsche, and Kierkegaard reveal that the soul spans much deeper than what is obvious to our consciousness. In the spirit of celebrating the complex and the unknown, I allow visual nuance to prevail in my images, embracing the delicate balance between representation and abstraction, and giving the viewer room to interpret and connect with my work.

My goal is to allow for exploration within these subtle tensions, striving to create images that speak softly.
